Food Drive

Published on Thursday, October 8th, 2009

God has placed on my heart for us at Journey to start a weekly food drive. For those who are able, a donation of a non-perishable food item would allow us to have a pantry readily available to draw from when we hear of a need in our church or our community. There will be a box at the door starting this Sunday and I will take it home with me to store it.

Thank you, Journey, for helping me be obedient.

Serve Day

Published on Saturday, May 16th, 2009

Serve Day

Serve Day is an exciting day set aside to reach into our community and share the love of Jesus in practical ways. We team up with groups from our congregation and 7 other churches in South Calgary to make a big impact.

Important note: We WILL NOT be having a Sunday morning service (adults or Journey Kids) at the school on this day. We hope everyone will participate and set aside this time to make their service into the community, their Sunday morning meeting with God, others and the world.

How can you participate?

1. Submit projects.

2. Sign up for projects via the website.

3. Be there on June 28, 2009.

4. Attend the finale wrap up BBQ.

For more information, contact Tina Cassidy (TinaCassidy@purposewithin.com), Stacey Sparshu (Stacey@journeychurch.ca), or the Serve Day website (www.serveday.ca).
