Sunday Morning Gatherings

One of the highlights of Journey Kids is our Sunday morning services.

 

Nursery (Infant – 2 years)

We provide nursery care for infants to 2 year olds. It's a safe place for them to engage in age appropriate play and learn together with trained leaders.

 

Preschool (age 3-5) & Elementary (Kindergarten – grade 4)

Our preschool and elementary aged kids meet together for a large group time and split into smaller groups as the morning progresses. We start with a time of activities- games, drawing, creating and visiting - to connect and have fun together. Then we move into a time of welcome and worship through music.

 

After that, the preschool kids move to their own special class for age appropriate teaching through stories, crafts, games and music.

 

The elementary kids continue into their own large group time. We use media tools to create an interactive and fun Bible learning environment. They hear truths from the Bible and are guided to find ways to apply those truths to their lives. They learn a memory verse every week.

 

Then we break into small groups for the last portion of the morning. One of our teachers has coined this time our "snack and yack" time! The small groups allows kids to develop relationships with mature adults on a more approachable level and discuss what they've learned through the morning in a more personal setting with kids in their own age and stage of life!

 

Journey Kids also have a sponsor child, Eseza, in Uganda. Each child has an opportunity to contribute to help provide her with the necessities. In addition, we try to take regular opportunities to pray for her and to provide any updates we may have.

 

Visitors are always welcome and are asked to complete a Registration form for each child with allergy information and contact details.
