I was born and raised in southeastern Saskatchewan (‘Riders, baby!) but have lived all over Western Canada for my adult life in several different churches and ministry contexts. My first passion in life is all things having to do with God. I love honest, thoughtful, and gracious dialogue about Him and am endlessly fascinated with the pursuit of what it means to live life around and through Him. My second passion is my family. I am married to my best friend Suzanne and we have 2 of the sweetest and joy-inducing kids you will ever find, Madalyn and Connor. Our little family comes from incredible extended families on both sides that enrich our lives tremendously. After that, my interests and friendships pretty much boil down to music, sports, and comedy. I love the way music gives context to my life, the way following sports gives me an outlet for my competitive side, and the way comedy helps me connect with people. I am very blessed to have a life that is easy to savour and thank God for, and I see my job at Journey as helping people do the same!
